about
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE "ONE FUND", TO BENEFIT VICTIMS OF THE BOSTON MARATHON BOMBINGS.
The Boston Marathon bombings create a swell of emotions in Boston residents. Initially, anger dominated these emotions, however, anger was quickly replaced by a feeling of pride in our city, and an immediate desire to help. From the heroic efforts of the police, medical staff, and civilians, that helped the wounded, to the citywide support of the manhunt that quickly apprehended the suspect, the city bonded together as a community. A charity called "OneFund" was created in order to benefit the victims; millions of dollars flooded in quickly.
ONEsession was conceived by Ward Hayden. Ward's idea was simple, to record a version of the song "Dirty Water" with his band, Girls Guns and Glory, with all proceeds benefiting "OneFund. " Ward did not want to simply recreate the original song; his goal was to record a uniquely Boston version with a large group of Boston area musicians. Ward recruited New England Music Award Producer of the Year, Sean McLaughlin (Elliot Smith, Rush, Marilyn Manson, Maroon 5, Matchbox 20), to record and produce the project. Ward also reached out to David DeLuca (Highway Ghosts) to act as executive producer.
The recording was a tremendous success, with over 40 members of the Boston music community participating by lending their voice, offering their skills in photography, videography, promotions, and graphic design without hesitation to make this project a reality. This is ONEsession and we are Boston.

A hymn to today’s way of interacting with each other in the digital world. Critical handling of the Cancel culture of today. I think it’s very good. Every single song you sing is very close to your heart. Go on, you mad dogs! :D Graf von Kekinburg-Trollenstein
